With so many posts about Trains and Construction in the past few weeks, surely you won’t mind another … especially when it brings the two together!
The railroad tracks that used to cross Alma/Minnesota (west of Highway 87) don’t anymore. They used to cross Minnesota between Whitehurst & Hervey, just west of where the street changes its name to Alma. Construction crews tore out the tracks in July, and paved over that section of road.
Now, if only Alma could be a little bit wider between the former tracks and Lelong Street, clearly allowing two lanes of traffic to get to the train station. Ahhh, to dream …. ![]()
