Progress continues in the redevelopment of the corner of Lincoln & Curtner, with the recent opening of a new auto service shop, offering oil changes, lubes, and smog testing only.

The teak sale operating temporarily out of the old Silver Leaf Antiques location is almost finished (two weeks left), reaching the “closeout” stage itself. And there is finally news that the landlord wants to demolish the entire building on the southwest corner and replace it with a fast food retail center, complete with outdoor seating areas.

It’s 90°F outside today, so WGx has a hard time imaging outdoor seating being a pleasant experience on that corner. Even when the weather is nice, the lack of developed trees and the existing view of the abandoned gas station across the street don’t exactly exude the restful ambiance of, say, Downtown WG.
