The SJ MercuryNews reported that WGHS was in Code Blue lockdown this morning in response to unrelated police activity in the area.
By 11:25, WGx is reporting that students were being allowed back onto the athletic fields, and there was no apparent police presence. There was never a direct threat to the campus.
As part of a lockdown practice at Booksin school last year, SJUSD officials noted that “Code Blue” events happen once or twice per school year.

It turned out to be a ho-hum sort of event, with very little actual news, really. NBC11 reports the Campbell Police pursued a suspected car thief into WG, and arrested the suspect near the WGHS/MS campus, with assistance from the SJPD … WGx.
Actually, I’m a Senior at Willo Glen Highschool. It was during 3rd period which is my T.A. period for the office where I run notes for the school to call out students. I saw it happen.
The police man on his motorcycle chased the criminal onto the campus ad down the hall. He cornered him, got off his bike and chased him down at the edge of the S-wing of the High school. I think he tazered the guy or something cause the guy fell over with a pained noise. After all that happened they called the code blue and kept us in our class rooms for the rest of the period.
I had to jog back to the office to hide, It was sorta pointless.
So yeah, A couple kids saw it.
