Looking for something interesting to do on Saturday? Join Team Willow Glen on their training walk for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk (which itself is July 12-13). This week’s Willow Glen History Walk leaves from Elva’s Coffee Stop at 11:00 am.
Historical Willow Glen hike this weekend
[sitethumb://bestofwillowglen.com/avon/]CJ [Brasiel] put together an 8 mile hike/tour of homes in Willow Glen that are of historical and architectural interest. Details are gleaned from the book “Touring Historical Willow Glenâ€? … We’ll also take a look at a couple of homes for sale that just happen to be holding open houses this weekend…
The walk starts and ends at Elva’s at 11 AM on Saturday April 12. Depending on how much we linger to look, the walk will likely take 2.5 to 3 hrs. Don’t forget to bring some water!
Elva herself is part of the team, and she’ll be collecting customer donations through the date of the actual Avon Walk, scheduled for July 12-13.
[sitethumb://www.willowglenextra.com/elva/]On July 12, Elva Acevedo will be among thousands of people dedicated their weekend to walking as part of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancers. We’ll walk at least the distance of a marathon (26.2 miles), and as far as a marathon and a half (39.3 miles). Either way, it’s a very long walk.
Of course, you can also donate online, starting on Elva’s website … coincidentally, she’s a WGx Member, which means her site is designed, hosted, and maintained by WillowGlenExtra.
