Thanks to all who helped make our last fundraiser a great success. Our AVON walk raised over $20,000! Our walking team did a great job raising all the funds and then walked, and walked and walked, for a great cause.

Next up …

Elva’s is hosting “OPERATION COFFEE AND COOKIES” for the troops. While we do not want to engage in debate over who does or does not support the war, I hope we can all agree that we should support our men and women.

On Sunday, August 31, we will have volunteers come in and put together coffee and cookies for the men and women. We of course will be packaging Elva’s Coffee — and cookies will vary, depending on what is donated.

Our goal is to have our community come in and purchase a pound (or multiple pounds ;-)) of beans, which we will grind, label, and have the customer personalize with a note.

Beans can be purchased today! Come and join us.

Elva, CJ and Janet crossed the finish line!

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer was a big success, especially for the local “Team Willow Glen” … As a team, we raised more than $20,000 for breast cancer research!

Thanks to everyone who supported our efforts, with donations and encouragement! Special thanks to our SJPD who also volunteered their time to support all of the walkers!

Our webmaster has returned from summer vacation in Italy … and he reports incredible news …
His wife now drinks Cappuccino!

She enjoyed her first drink one early morning in Rome, and enjoyed several more in other cities on the trip. She had her first US-based Cappuccino the morning after they returned home. Of course, it was right here at the Coffee Stop!

They also took a few pictures in some of Italy’s famous coffee shops, and they’ve added them to Elva’s collection on Flickr. If you’ve taken a picture of yourself with your Elva’s t-shirt, sticker, or gift card … share your picture with us!

Our fabulous customers have been working us to the bone recently, with busy mornings, sold-out pastries, and packed tables. Of course, we love it!

… But we need a break.

Elva’s Coffee Stop will close for Summer Vacation between June 30 and July 4. Your last day to enjoy one of our delicious drinks will be Tuesday, June 29. We’ll reopen for our regular hours on Saturday, July 5.

Special thanks to Chante, Jessica, and Chealse, who will keep things running while Frank & Elva are jet-setting across the country on the Southwest Airlines standby plan while on vacation.

It’s gonna be hot this weekend! So Elva’s is going to bring the “cool” to you …

Actually, if you are craving a smoothie this weekend, stop by the Coffee Stop. We’ll also be selling smoothies and fresh coffee across the street at the Willows Senior Center Car Show on Saturday!

Summer is here and so is the Willows Senior Center’s 4th Annual Car Show! Custom, classic, and vintage cars along with hot rods will be on display on Saturday, June 21 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
